The core idea behind Nordisk Profil's complete facade solutions is sleek, simple, and modular systems of exclusive quality that contribute to sustainable, climate-friendly, and fire-safe construction.
The facade systems are all unique, tailor-made solutions with 'freedom to choose'. This means it's possible to adapt a desired facade solution to the building without compromising on design and functionality. With a solution from Nordisk Profil, it's never the building that dictates the solution, but rather the solution that makes the building unique with the most stunning result.
Napsu is our open facade system with aluminium lamellae on an underlying aluminium structure. The openness provides views of the building's supporting facade and creates dynamic architecture through the interplay between light, shadows and materials.
The system is mounted without visible fixings and consists of three components, which are installed in three steps. The range includes corner solutions, cover profiles, solutions for curved facades and reinforcement profiles that enable large free spans both horizontally and vertically.
The surface treatment is selected according to the project's requirements. Anodising strengthens the natural oxide layer and provides additional protection. Powder coating delivers a hard-wearing finish in all RAL and NCS colours.
Alufac is our closed system, where aluminium lamellae are mounted firmly on aluminium carrier panels. The construction protects the building against weather impacts, whilst ventilation at the rear ensures air circulation.
The system is supplied as single, double and corner panels. The mounting screws sit in pre-punched holes and are concealed when the panels are assembled. In addition, there are profiles for terminations around doors, windows and other building elements.
The integrated thermal movement ensures that all parts can react individually to temperature changes. This prevents internal stresses and protects the facade's structure.

It is actually misleading to call it a parking garage. The official name is Mobility House Stigsborg - and that name carries a point. The building represents the next generation of mobility facilities: 6 floors with space for private cars, shared cars, bicycles, and scooters side by side. Commercial leases are located on the ground floor, which together create life and security on the waterfront around the clock.
The facade combines Woodfac Click and Napsu. The wood lamellas on the ground floor introduce a warm, organic contrast to the upper floors, which are clad with aluminum lamellas.

Huset Stigsborg
Stigsborg House in Aalborg is the neighborhood’s new hub for children and youth, featuring a nursery, preschool, school, after-school programs, and indoor and outdoor sports facilities. With its location by the fjord, the building is already an architectural landmark, and the construction project has been certified with DGNB GOLD + HEART.
Nordisk Profil has supplied facade solutions made from 100% recycled aluminum: the Napsu open system for the stairwell, and our new, patented Alufac Front for the main building. The Front system uses concealed mounting brackets instead of mounting rails, creating a floating appearance and allowing for large, unobstructed spans - ideal for large window sections, for example.

When an existing building is extended, the facade determines whether the extension blends naturally with its surroundings - or simply looks tacked on. At AP Pension's headquarters in Aarhus, Napsu was used precisely for this purpose: to give the extension an architectural expression that breathes new life into the building without overshadowing the existing structure.
The facade is clad with horizontal aluminum lamellas measuring 51×80 mm, installed with two varying center-to-center distances. This alternating rhythm is a simple yet effective way to create movement and depth in the surface - and it changes character depending on the lighting conditions throughout the day.
What is an aluminum facade?
An aluminum facade is a facade cladding with aluminum slats, available as both an open and closed facade system. In a closed system, the facade acts as a climate screen. The aluminum panels protect against weather and wind, while the system ensures air circulation on the back. This prevents moisture damage and extends the building's lifespan. Open systems are often used for buildings that require a form of covering, both functionally and aesthetically, but as an open solution. It is particularly suitable for parking garages and for various types of screening. However, it can be used for all types of facade construction.
What are the benefits of aluminum facade cladding?
Aluminum facades require no maintenance and have a proven long lifespan. The material withstands weather conditions without rusting or cracking, leading to low long-term operating costs.
The louvers can be precisely designed to match the desired architectural visions. Various lengths, center-to-center distances, angles, colors, and surface treatments are available.
Nordisk Profil uses Greenline aluminum, which consists of 100% collected and recycled aluminum. Greenline has a significantly lower CO₂ footprint compared to primary aluminum, providing aluminum facade cladding with documented low environmental impact.
Is it CE-approved and documented?
Our facade systems are CE approved and meet European standards for safety, quality and environmental protection. They all come with various material documentation in the form of EPDs, certificates for wood and aluminium and DOPs.
The systems are designed according to the Design for Disassembly principle. Each component can be disassembled and reused. Both slats and mounting system can be dismantled and used again in new facade projects.
