What is an Aluminium Facade?
An aluminium facade is a facade cladding made from aluminium lamellae or panels that protects the building's structure. The facade can be designed as an open or closed system depending on the project's requirements for ventilation, weather protection and visual expression.
In a closed system, the facade functions as climate protection. The aluminium panels shield against weather and wind, whilst ventilation at the rear ensures air circulation. This prevents moisture damage and extends the building's lifespan.
Open systems are often used for lamella screening, where the lamellae create dynamics through light and shadows. The construction provides transparency and ventilation, making it suitable for car parks, plant rooms and similar buildings.

Woodfac Click er særlig velegnet til beklædning af parkeringshuse.
Med det åbne facadesystem bliver det nemt at give parkeringshuse en vis wow-effekt. Der bygges mange parkeringshuse blandt flotte boligblokke, og hvorfor ikke gøre dem lige så indbydende at se på som deres miljø og omgivelser.
Med trælameller som beklædning, får man muligheden for at konstruere flotte og tidsløse parkeringshuse med et naturligt og varmt udseende, der over tid udvikler en smuk patina.
Woodfac Panel er et lukket system, der fungerer som en klimaskærm. Systemet består af valgfrie trælameller monteret på alupaneler.
Alupanelerne beskytter bygningen mod vejrpåvirkninger og har en bagvedliggende ventilation, der sikrer, at facaden kan “ånde”.
Panelløsningen består blandt andet af variable single-, dobbelt- og hjørnepaneler med standsede huller til facadeskruer, der skjules, når panelerne klipses sammen.
Til systemet tilbydes et bredt program af tilbehørsprofiler til afslutninger og indramninger af døre, vinduer (lysningsprofiler) og andre facadeelementer.

Napsu is our open facade system with aluminium lamellae on an underlying aluminium structure. The openness provides views of the building's supporting facade and creates dynamic architecture through the interplay between light, shadows and materials.
The system is mounted without visible fixings and consists of three components, which are installed in three steps. The range includes corner solutions, cover profiles, solutions for curved facades and reinforcement profiles that enable large free spans both horizontally and vertically.
The surface treatment is selected according to the project's requirements. Anodising strengthens the natural oxide layer and provides additional protection. Powder coating delivers a hard-wearing finish in all RAL and NCS colours.
Alufac is our closed system, where aluminium lamellae are mounted firmly on aluminium carrier panels. The construction protects the building against weather impacts, whilst ventilation at the rear ensures air circulation.
The system is supplied as single, double and corner panels. The mounting screws sit in pre-punched holes and are concealed when the panels are assembled. In addition, there are profiles for terminations around doors, windows and other building elements.
The integrated thermal movement ensures that all parts can react individually to temperature changes. This prevents internal stresses and protects the facade's structure.

Aluminium requires no maintenance and has documented long lifespan. The material withstands weather impacts without rusting or cracking, which provides low operating costs over time.
The lamellae can be formed precisely according to the project's specifications. Different profiles, colours and surface treatments make it possible to adapt the facade to the building's architecture.
Nordisk Profil uses Greenline aluminium, which consists of 100% collected and recycled aluminium. Greenline has a significantly lower CO₂ footprint compared to primary aluminium, which provides facade cladding with documented low environmental values.

Napsu, like the open facade system, is a sought-after choice for large parking garages. With its flexible design that adapts easily to the environment and its stylish expression, the system fits naturally into today's architecture for larger installations.
At the same time, the system is easy to combine with other facade materials. You can choose aluminum as a full or partial solution, and Napsu also works great with plant walls.
CE Approval and Documentation
Our facade systems are CE approved and meet European standards for safety, quality and environmental protection. They all come with various material documentation in the form of EPDs, certificates for wood and aluminium and DOPs.
The systems are designed according to the Design for Disassembly principle. Each component can be disassembled and reused. Both slats and mounting system can be dismantled and used again in new facade projects.
