Vordingborg City Hall - Citizens' House
Beautiful wooden complement
Borgernes Hus - the new town hall in Vordingborg - is a welcoming and modern building built with a focus on sustainable materials, both inside and out, and with respect for its surroundings.
In interaction with the classic bricks, the facade is partially broken up with wooden slats in thermofyre, which acts as a warm and characterful design element. The slats are also used at the entrance and as ceiling cladding, creating a coherent and beautiful expression.
The facade solution was Woodfac Panel - a closed facade system that acts as a climate screen and protects the facade behind. The system is flexible and suitable for entire facade areas, screening and framing of special zones - as well as for ceiling solutions.
In this project, the slats are selected in thermopine 34x34 mm with a cc-distance of 70 mm. The wood is fire tested and meets B-s2,d0.
Nordisk Profil offers classification tests and full documentation on several types of wood. Read more about our fire technical documentation in our brochures here.
Woodfac Panel's underlying structure and profiles are made of Greenline® aluminum, which has a particularly low carbon footprint and good EPD values.
We do not compromise on quality or sustainability. That's why all our solutions are documented - so you as a customer are guaranteed a facade that lasts for generations and meets today's green requirements.
